Prevention Schools of Excellence 2012
Project Bridge Safe Schools/Healthy Students has established a unique award to recognize excellence in prevention efforts in all Broward County Public and Charter Schools. This recognition program is intended to reiterate that prevention is a critical component of student success.
These Broward County Schools are being recognized for their outstanding efforts this school year in providing effective services, supports, and activities that promote positive behaviors – development of emotional resilience skills, positive mental health and prosocial actions – while limiting and/or preventing violent behavior and drug use. Their efforts to support the Project Bridge initiative, but more importantly, to create a safe and secure learning environment for our students, is to be commended!
