Positive Parenting

Office of Prevention celebrates parents, who are the TRUE originators of prevention.  They work tirelessly, and often fail to see the fruits of their labor for years if not decades.   Positive Parenting is like planting a seed or slowly restoring a Van Gough. It may seem irreparable, but with loving care, time, effort and patience, it will become a masterpiece.

Positive Parenting is made up of TWO key ingredients:

1) Human Connection and
2) Discipline

WHY is it important to learn these skills?  Because for better for worse, as parents, “It’s all About ME!”   We are the ones in control of our homes and we set the tone, create the climate, and hold the power to ensure our children’s success.
