Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.)
Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) chapters are located in Broward County’s middle and high schools. Originally, S.A.D.D. was a high school club whose focus was helping young people say “No” to drinking and driving. Today, the mission and student base has expanded and has evolved into a peer leadership organization dedicated to focusing attention on the potentially life threatening consequences of destructive decisions surrounding the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, and impaired driving.
Broward SADD Chapters have the following goals:
- To help stop people from driving drunk and save lives.
- To alert high school and middle school students to the dangers of drinking/drugging and driving and to offer positive alternatives.
- To conduct SADD drug and alcohol awareness programs.
- To encourage the use of safety belts among students and their families
For assistance or questions regarding SADD, contact the SADD Sponsor at the middle or high school in your area or the Office of Prevention Programs.
