Get Real About Violence
Get Real About Violence is a research-based, age-appropriate prevention curriculum for students in grades K-12. Get Real About Violence is an effective and user-friendly tool that helps teachers and school staff build a culture of non-violence. The program targets a wide range of violent behavior, whether it’s bullying, teasing, and rumors among younger children or threats and assaults in the later years.
Office of Prevention has purchased a site license for all Broward County Public School employees to have access to Get Real About Violenence through Discovery Health and Discovery Education through Project Bridge Safe Schools Healthy Students (S.S.H.S.) Grant and Safe and Drug Free Schools funding. Within the website, teachers find lessons, work sheets, videos that they can download or stream, and other materials for teaching students about possibly the most important subject they can learn: how to promote their own health and wellness.
Accessing Discovery Health for Broward County employees is as easy as clicking on BEEP Portal . Log-in using your District P-code, click on Unitedstreaming, then click on the DE Health tab at the top of the page.
