As part of our overarching goal to promote school safety and healthy youth development our staff is providing professional development for district educators, community agencies and law enforcement in the use of Discovery Health Connections Get Real About Violence (GRAV) classroom curriculum for Grades K-12.
The goal of this curriculum is to make schools safer and more supportive—for adults as well as students. How? By doing the following:
- Encouraging students to avoid doing mean and violent things to each other
- Encouraging students to report incidents of meanness and violence to adults in the school
