ABOVE THE INFLUENCE BROWARD – MAY 18, 2013

“Above the Influence” (ATI) is a state of mind. It’s about being yourself and not letting negative influences get to you. It’s about resisting the pressure to drink, do drugs, be thin, discriminate against others, act violently, take steroids, join a gang, or do anything that goes against WHO YOU ARE, in order to fit in.  And if you’re one of the people who wants to stay above these negative influences, you’ve come to the right spot.

RISE ABOVE. CHANGE YOUR LIFE. JOIN THE MOVEMENT. CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

People, particularly teens tend to communicate more via facebook or text messages. Technology is dehumanizing people. On top of that there is the culture of cruelty; teens can have a tendency to be meaner to their peers. No wonder teens feel and are more depressed. People do not care for each other as much as they used to.

  11. Steve Says:

I recall the story of the early Teen boy, slightly overweight, name MUNCTON ? a few weeks ago who got beaten up by a gang of city youths because of some minor problem like his basketball hit a girl during a game by mistake,/I think he lost an eye, and got his face bashed in very badly. That is TEEN DEPRESSION at the worse. Being picked on by a gang , run down like an animal, and then beaten savagedly is so depressing to me, in our day and age. What ever happen to that poor kid ?
