HIV/AIDS Curriculum Overview

The HIV/AIDS Curriculum is a 2-12 instructional guide designed to meet the Florida State Education Department and Broward County Department of Education mandates for instruction on the topic of HIV/AIDS. The fundamental mission of HIV/AIDS education, is to decrease the prevalence of HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Disease/Infections (STDs/STIs), and unintended pregnancy among youth, by fostering an increased awareness of healthy behaviors and practices. This will aid in their future development. The HIV/AIDS education and unintended pregnancy program is made possible through the a grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control, Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC-DASH).
