The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, as International Holocaust Remembrance Day (see resolution A/RES/60/7.)  We recognize this annual day of commemoration to help us remember and ensure that the world continues to say “never again” to further act of genocide.
