BCPS supports the National Youth Violence Prevention Week. Its goal is to raise awareness and to educate students, school staff, and the community on effective ways to prevent or reduce youth violence. This week long initiative includes activities demonstrating the positive role youth can have in making their school and community safer. The National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), a campaign founder, provides countless resources to prepare for the event, including the official National Youth Violence Prevention Week Action Kit. This kit is a step-by-step planning guide with suggestions on how to support the campaign, activity ideas, links to national organizations sponsoring the event, articles and interviews on violence prevention, and much, much more!
