Every year BCPS observes Anti-Bullying Week the second week in November. This special week was created to raise awareness and provide opportunities for schools and communities to enhance their bullying prevention efforts.

Use the Toolkit below with your students to increase awareness and on Wednesday have your students wear white on “WEAR WHITE DAY” to celebrate peace and respect towards all.

About BCPS AntiBullying Week

Broward School’s Anti-Bullying Week is normally the second week in November.  Broward County Public Schools and its community partners encourage the celebration of bullying awareness and prevention during a number of weeks and months throughout the year – see the Days of Observance webpage for more information regarding these.    The purpose is to help raise awareness and promote safer and more respectful schools where bullying is not the norm.  Broward Schools utilizes its AntiBullying week along with other curriculum and nationally recognized anti-bullying observances such as:

  • Choose Peace Stop Violence Week is in September
  • National Bullying Prevention Month is October
  • No Name Calling Week is January
  • Above the Influence March
  • National Youth Violence Prevention Week Campaign

The Your Choice, Your Action, Your Life Public Service Announcements Videos and corresponding lesson plans.  Students from Pompano Beach High School collaborated with Diversity, Cultural Outreach & Prevention to develop a series of PSAs designed to raise awareness and spark dialogue around issues related to bullying.
